I TRAVELED ALL OR MOST OF PICTURED ROCKS NATIONAL LAKESHORE IN 2000, 2006 & 2010. EACH TIME SEEMED LIKE A NEW ADVENTURE. DON'T MISS GRAND PORTAL POINT, MINERS CASTLE OR THE DUNES. WILL PROBABLY GO AGAIN IN MAY OR JUNE 2015.

Truly amazing. Every turn is brings a vista better than the last. Chapel Beach was a great place to spend time. Bring lots of water and snacks. Good shoes a must.

Gorgeous hike! Did it with ages 7-80 and everyone had a wonderful time! Make sure to wade into Lake Superior!

A spiritual experience. Make sure you do the entire loop. Don't cheat yourself. It is also fairly challenging. Be sure to treat it with respect and practice before you go.

Fantastic and awe inspiring. The Chapel Beach hike is very worthwhile, but if you have the time to press on for the full loop...do not miss the opportunity, it is a spectacular hike. I've done both hikes several times in different weather. If you have a choice go on a sunny day, as the colors of the water and cliffs will be much more vivid.

Hi, I hiked the 6.3 mile loop, and it was great. The falls are beautiful, then the lakeshore was fabulous, Chapel Rock was fantastic, Chapel beach had some precious stones, then the hike back was like walking in a forest filled Chapel! I would highly recommend this trail, and I want to go back and do the 9 mile loop. I did get some amazing photos.
